Buggies-n-Blues gets rescheduled
One weekend of rain has not stopped the determination of going forward with the Buggies-n-Blues this year, as the the 16th annual classic car show, which was rained out on June 7, has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 25, and Sunday, July 26.
“Hopefully we’ll have as many cars and tractors on display as we originally planned. It will be a repeat of what didn’t happen on June 6 and 7,” said Vern Cermak, organizer of the event. The original schedule is planned to remain the same during the second time around.
Show vehicles 1985 and older, specialty vehicles and all Corvettes are invited to the event, and will be on display on Sunday, July 26.. There are no registration requirements and no fees to enter your vehicle. Entrance to the display is on Main Street near the M & H gas station.
Time for arrival is schedule at 10 a.m. The classic car display, open to the public, will continue until 5 p.m. Sunday will include displays of vintage tractors as well as vehicles. For more information, contact Perry Schlosser @220-0467.
Sunday’s lineup will include sponsor booths and product lines, various food vendors at Dykshoorn Park starting at 11 a.m., a beer garden and music by Broken Bricks and BCP starting at noon. The event will also include a Saturday Night Ro c k – n – R o l l under the stars at Dykshoorn Park, featuring two bands starting at 4 p.m.
The Ravens will perform from 8:30 to midnight, with opening band yet to be determined. The evening event will also include food vendors and a beer garden.
Admission for Saturday’s events in the park will be $2 for adults with children under 12 free. For more information, contact: buggies-nblues. org or cal 426-3340 or 220-2959.
