Police department hires officer

Officer Rick Widicker
The Mandan Police Department has announced the hiring of a new Mandan officer.
Officer Rick Widicker graduated from Bismarck State College in 1999 with an Associate in Arts degree and a criminal justice major. He graduated from the Basic Training Academy at Lake Region State College in 2002.
Widicker was previously employed by the Eddy County Sheriff’s Department, Jamestown Police Department, Mandan Police Department and the Morton County Sheriff’s Department. Officer Widicker is currently in Mandan’s Field Training Program.
With hiring of Widicker, the police department still has two police officer positions that need to be filled.
