On Nov. 19, Chuck Morman, Morton County road superintendant, called it quits after 45 years or employment with Morton County.
Morman said he thoroughly enjoyed going to work every day and helping other people. One of his main goals was looking for ways to make the county better for its citizens and employees. He said he is thankful for the excellent work of his employees for the past year, which saw near record snowfall, spring flooding and a race to catch up with the damage done all summer.
Now that he is retired, Morman and his wife, Sonja, plan to start some new adventures together, which will include some traveling and spending more time with family. He said he will miss the excitement of the job and always seeing what is to come next.
