Students graduate from MSUM
An estimated 450 students received degrees at Minnesota State University Moorhead’s winter graduation ceremony on Friday, Dec. 18 at 2 p.m.
The following students from Mandan received their degrees during the commencement:
Andrew Haak, bachelors degree in biochemistry and biotechnology; Char Binstock, bachelor in biology; Elizabeth Schafer, bachelor elementary education; Jacob Weber, bachelor in mass communications; Jason Sobolik, masters in educational leadership; Jennifer Rennich, bachelor in psychology; Scott Janz, bachelor in mass communications.
The commencement speaker was Tammy Miller, CEO of Border States Electric. Miller has a bachelors in accounting and an masters from MSUM, and she has received two distinguished alumni awards from her alma mater. Miller is leading MSUM’s Major Gifts Initiative to fund scholarships and the university’s new wellness center.
