Angus breeders recognized
Several local angus breeders have been listed in the Spring 2010 Sire Evaluation Report published by the American Angus Association.
The following owners were recognized in the report, followed by the number of bulls listed: Schaffs Angus Valley, Saint Anthony, 54 bulls; Dockter’s W-Heart Ranch, Mandan, one bull; Martin and Angie Schaff, Saint Anthony, one bull; Strommen Ranch, Fort Rice, two bulls.
Issued in both the spring and fall, the new report features the latest performance information available on 4,607 sires. The report includes updated research reports for docility and heifer pregnancy.
The semi-annual analysis for the Sire Evaluation Report utilizes nearly 18 million measures used to generate more than 53 million EPDs for the Angus Breed.
The American Angus Association, with headquarters in Saint Joseph, Mo., provides programs and services for nearly 30.000 members nationwide and thousands of commercial producers who use Angus genetics.
