Offenders moves in Mandan
The Mandan Police Department announced that two sexual offenders have moved into Mandan.
Michael Brian Kopp, registered as a high risk sex offender, has moved to 703 Woodland Trail.
Kopp, 34 years old, is 6’1″ and 250 pounds with red hair and blue eyes.
Kopp was convicted of gross sexual imposition in Morton County District Court on March 16, 1998. The victim in the case was a 4-year-old female. Kopp recently moved from Bismarck to Mandan. He must register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life.
Rodney Lansing, 28, has moved to 100 Sixth Ave. S.E.
Lansing, who is listed as a moderate level offender, is 6’1″ and 225 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
Lansing was convicted of abusive sexual contact on Sept. 5, 2000, in United States Federal Court in Bismarck. The victim in the case was a 13-year-old female. Lansing moved to Mandan on Jan. 21, 2010. As a result of his conviction, he is required to register until Sept. 21, 2026.
Neither individuals are wanted by law enforcement at this time and have served the sentence imposed by the court. This notification is not intended to increase fear in the community. It is the belief of the Mandan Police Department that an informed public is a safer public.
