Schmidt completes training
Pfc. Thomas J. Schmidt of the North Dakota Army National Guard completed basic combat training at Fort Jackson, SC, on July 24, and advanced individual training at Fort Jackson, SC, on Oct. 15. He attended the course of 63B- Light Wheel Mechanic and is now a member of the Headquarters, Headquarters Company 1-112th Aviation Battalion (Security & Support) in Bismarck.
In civilian life, Pfc. Schmidt is self-employed as a farmer and rancher, and has plans to finish college at Bismarck State College. He is a graduate of Bismarck High School class of 2004. His parents are Thomas R. And Janet Schmidt of Denver, Colo.
