Starion donates more than $100,000 in 2009
Starion Financial has donated more than $100,000 to community causes in North Dakota and surrounding areas in 2009. The donations are part of an ongoing effort by Starion Financial to invest in the growth and prosperity of the communities in which it serves.
In addition to community volunteerism, Starion staff gave more than 600 hours for the flood fights alone along the Missouri and Red Rivers.
The company made contributions to colleges and education, including $10,000 to the University of Mary schools of business and technology, $9,000 to the Bismarck State College Foundation and $5,000 to Sitting Bull College in Fort Yates.
The bank also made contributions to the Mandan Park District, Medcenter One and St. Alexius, and the Lewis and Clark Bicentennial Foundation Harmony Park project in Washburn.
“Starion Financial is proud to be a member of the communities we serve, and we make every effort to help improve the health, education, and success of the people and businesses with whom we live and work,” said Craig Larson, president and chief executive officer.
