The collection calls are complete and Kupper Chevrolet-Subaru announced that its customers and fellow community members raised over $6,500 for the N.D. National Guard Emergency Relief Fund.
Accepting a check last Friday on behalf of the N.D. National Guard ERF was Maj. Gen. David Sprynczynatyk. Presenting the check was Kupper Chevrolet-Subaru owner Bob Kupper.
“This contribution to our Emergency Relief Fund is greatly appreciated.” said Sprynczynatyk. “Through this specific annual event, the dealership has raised almost $25,000 for the ERF.”
The real lure may have been the 1,000 free hot dogs, 1,000 free hamburgers and pop. But depending on who you asked, others may have pulled in to peruse the almost 100 classic and muscle cars, motorcycle or military display. Whatever the reason, the people that stopped by Kupper Chevrolet Sept. 10 were committed to making an impact in the lives of others by voluntarily opening up their wallets and hearts to make a freewill donation.
“The freewill donations alone were up $700,” said Kupper. “That truly shows that people are passionate about supporting families of our military and were willing to open their wallets to show their appreciation.”
The ERF assists N.D. National Guard Soldiers, Airmen and their families surmount sudden and unforeseen emergencies by providing financial support in the form of grants.
This was the sixth year the dealership has hosted the event.
