Susan. You responded bla bla bla. I've waited 12 hours to get on a delta culvert then have it take off and land 5 min later with an engine problem. Then waited 23 hours for the next flight. Another thing. If you say 6'3" isn't that tall anymore then delta should go back to the drawing board. Cause Dans right these culverts are made for little people. Next time I'll walk the 500 miles my back will thank me

The cost of the flying culvert is around 25 million $US. It is slightly more sophisticated than a culvert, and it is operated by a crew whose dedication to your comfort and safety is beyond reproach. They work in the culvert each day. Some are 6'4". The aircraft is maintained by experts who've dedicated their professional lives to cradling you in the bozom of safety with no mistakes. Despite the indignity of having to fly aboard one (6'3" isn't that tall anymore), the aircraft was purchased for a reason: it allows the airline to offer several flights per day to a destination (frequency) instead of just one. If you flew on a bigger aircraft, (a "mainline" aircraft), your complaint would be: "I got to gol dern Minneapolis and had to wait 6 and a half hours for my next flight there...the gol dern gate area seats give me a crick in the neck and hurt my buttocks, and the restaurants want $6.50 for a sandwich...gol dern Delta Airlines..." The weather gets in the way of the schedule sometimes, doesn't it? Flights get cancelled, and people expect red carpet charter bus service over closed interstate highways to get them to where they want to be. Despite how truly safe and comfortable airline flying is, a lot of folks join the crowd of complainers because it's the thing to do. Tiresome article/"letter." Sigh.
