Ag Day coloring contest winners named

Second grade youth who attended the Morton County Ag Day, Thursday, March 21, were eligible to participate in a coloring contest. Approximately 170 second graders returned their pictures to be judged. Over $250 was donated to this activity to make youth more aware of the crops grown in North Dakota. Some of these youth are second and third generations removed from farm life.

The prizes were groceries of either products grown in North Dakota or products from crops that are grown in North Dakota.

The winners were: first place, Kamri Hopfauf, Centennial School, Bismarck; second place, Madison Brown, Centennial School; third plac,e Kora Vogle, Hebron; and fourth place, Brooks Turner, Centennial School.
