Boehm presented with award
Forty-four outstanding young people were honored for their supervised agricultural experience projects among the 1,500-plus in attendance at the 83rd North Dakota State FFA Convention held on NDSU’s campus in Fargo June 4 to 8.
Brandi Boehm, of Mandan, was named for the Dairy Production Entrepreneurship Proficiency Award.
Boehm has worked on her family’s dairy farm since she was 10 years old. She has exchanged labor for feed and supplies for her own dairy herd, work that has earned her the state-winning Dairy Production Entrepreneurship Proficiency award at the 2012 North Dakota State FFA Convention. Boehm has been active in all aspects of dairy production from milking to nutrition and wellness.
Brandi used her knowledge of dairy production to earn a second place finish in the 2009 Dairy Evaluation career development event and a 19th place finish at national competition, where her team took eighth place.
Boehm graduated from Mandan High School and plans to pursue a degree in agricultural business and finance.
