Flasher school program receives funding
The North Dakota Agriculture in the Classroom Council, working with the North Dakota FFA Foundation, awarded over $10,000 worth of grant funds to 24 programs who will promote agriculture literacy.
Among the programs was Flasher Public School. The school was funded $600 for wood, welding rods, blades, welding gas and drafting equipment. Students in tech studies classes will research, study and present on the principles behind cattle hay-feed handling equipment. They will develop and design small scale models of haying equipment and then build a full scale production.
This grant program was designed to offer funds for agriculturally related projects, units and lessons used for school-age children. Funds for this project were appropriated by the 2011 North Dakota Legislature.
