Morton County producers ranked first and eighth for Angus production in ND
Schaffs Angus Valley, Saint Anthony, ranked as largest in registering the most Angus beef cattle in North Dakota having recorded 732 head of Angus. While, Diamond J Angus Ranch, of Mandan, ranked as eighth largest in registering the most Angus beef cattle in North Dakota having recorded 217 head of Angus with the American Angus Association(r) during fiscal year 2013, which ended Sept. 30, according to Bryce Schumann, Association chief executive officer.
Angus breeders across the nation in 2013 registered 388,822 head of Angus cattle. “Our year-end statistics continue to demonstrate strong demand for Angus genetics and solidify our long-held position as a leader in the beef cattle industry,” Schumann says. “These results underscore our members’ commitment to providing genetic solutions to the beef cattle industry.”
