Join the Mandan Art Association for an afternoon of fun with art. Bring in your odd, unusual, unique or just plain dull and boring items and have the MAA’s group of painters brighten it up with a sunflower. MAA member artists will paint a sunflower on your item free of charge. Wood, glass, metal and fabric are acceptable.  There is a limit of one item per person. Prizes will be given for the most unusual item submitted.

While your item is being painted, you will be able to browse through the gallery displays and enjoy some refreshments.  You can even have your photo taken in a giant sunflower frame.

This event will be held at the Mandan Art Association gallery, located at 411 W. Main St., on Saturday, Aug. 6, from 1 to 4 p.m. The event is open to the public, and there is no admission fee.
