Council awards artist grant
The North Dakota Council on the Arts completed its fall grant round for fiscal year 2011. A total of $90,138 was awarded in five different grant programs: Artist in Residence, Community Arts Access, Presenter Support, Schools and Artists as Learning Teams and Teacher Incentive.
The following local residents and institutions were awarded grants, followed by the amount received:
Artist in Residence – Debi Rogers, $870, Pride Manchester House; Jessica Hoffman, $853, Christ the King School. Community Arts Access – New Salem-Almont Public School, $600.
All applications were evaluated by grant review panels and all awards were subject to approval by the NDCA’s board of directors.
The North Dakota Council on the Arts is the state agency responsible for the support and development of the arts throughout North Dakota, and is funded by the state legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts.
