Aarestad directs maintenance operations

Mandan Aero Center has announced that Mike Aarestad, an expert airframe and powerplant technician, has been named the director of maintenance operations at Mandan Aero Center.

Mandan Aero Center is located at the Mandan Municipal Airport.

Aarestad has worked in a director of maintenance capacity for general aviation and corporate aircraft for more than 35 years. In 2002, he became co-owner of parent company Aircraft Management Services, starting up the company’s aircraft maintenance department.

Through the years, Aarestad has been named the North Dakota Technician of the Year and is a past president of the North Dakota Professional Aviation Mechanics Association.

He plans to work to continue great aircraft maintenance service at the Mandan Municipal Airport while growing Mandan Aero Center operations.

“I am excited about being able to work on the Mandan Municipal Airport and start up our new aircraft maintenance business” Aarestad said. “There is a great aviation community in Mandan and I am looking forward to being more involved with it.”

Mandan Aero Center, founded in November 2013, is a complete aircraft maintenance facility located at the Mandan Municipal Airport and offers aircraft maintenance, interiors and avionics.
