Aasand elected into association

Mandan resident Jennie Aasand has been elected Seventh District Trustee of the American Dental Assistants Association, representing hundreds of dental assistants in North and South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Aasand has distinguished herself as a Registered Dental Assistant in North Dakota and is office manager at A Lifetime of Smiles dental practice in Bismarck, where she has worked for the past 18 years.

She has been a dental assistant for 22 years and has served the ADAA as a member of the Council on Member Service, the Ad Hoc Technology Committee and as President of the North Dakota Dental Assistants Association. Aasand is a member of the Dental Quest Oral Health Initiative and has received the North Dakota Dental Assistant Recognition Award.

A graduate of the Bryman School in Phoenix, Ariz., Aasand is married to Terry Aasand and the mother of Nick and Grant Aasand and Miranda (Matt) Wolski.

The ADAA represents the interests of the more than 250,000 dental assistants in the United States and is America’s oldest, largest dental assisting organization.
