Local business gives back through donation program

Kupper Automotive’s $25 Donation Program doesn’t come around a special sales event, it comes around every other week. The program has consistently brought in around $25,000 a year for numerous community organizations such as the Central Dakota Humane Society, Missouri Slope United Way and Make-a-Wish Foundation. With the addition of another dealership, Kupper Automotive impacted an additional twelve organizations in 2012.

“One of our company values is the value of being good community citizens,” says owner Bob Kupper. “We give willingly to and are actively involved in the support of our communities, because they provide us our success.”

The recipients on the list may use the donation toward whatever they may be needing at that time. Central Dakota Humane Society in Mandan says they use the contributions to help assist financially in the spay or neuter of cats and dogs through their spa-neuter assistance program.Big Brothers Big Sisters stated their donation go towards general operating expenses to help children reach their potential through community relationships. North Dakota Teen Challenge uses the funds to help men and women stuck in substance abuse problems and give them a second chance at life.

“Now, with the addition of Bismarck Motor Company, twelve additional organizations, such as Rebuilding Together, Bismarck Cancer Center and Charles Hall Youth Services, can anticipate the same.”

2013 marks the 28th year of the program. Over the years, the dealership group donated over half a million dollars through its $25 Donation Program.
