4-H camps scheduled

Dates to Remember
May 15 – Morton County Fairboard Meeting, Morton County Fairgrounds, New Salem, 8 p.m.
May 27 – 4-H District Communication Arts contest, Christ the King School, 8 a.m.
May 27-31 – 4-H Livestock Camp, ND 4-H Camp, Washburn

Soil Temperature
The soil temperature at the NDAWN site south of Mandan on May 11:
• Bare Soil – 44 degrees F
• Under Turf – 40 degrees F

4-H Camps Scheduled
Youth who may be interested in attending camps will have the opportunity to do so at the North Dakota 4-H Camp located near Washburn. Camps will begin May 27 and the camping season will end July 31. Youth do not need to be a 4-H member to attend. The camps are reasonably priced and will offer a variety of educational experiences and outdoor activities to participate in. To register for the camps contact your local county extension office or register online at: www.ndsu.edu/4h/.

Early bird registration ends May 20. By registering early, youth will receive a $25 discount to attend camp. In addition, if you are a 4-H member from Morton County, those youth are eligible for an additional $25 4-H Camp Scholarship.

July 6-10 – Survivor Outdoor Recreation Camp
July 13-15 – Discover Camp
July 13-15 – Great Outdoors Camp
July 27-31 – Military Youth Camp I
July 27-31 – Military Youth Camp II
