District 33’s Heller decides not to seek re-election
Rep. Brenda Heller, a seven-year veteran of the North Dakota House of Representatives, announced this week that she will not seek re-election in 2014.
Heller, a Republican, represents District 33. She will complete her present term on Nov. 30, 2014.
Until her term expires, Heller says she will actively represent her district, which includes Mercer and Oliver counties and a large portion of Morton County.
Heller has served on Judiciary, Agriculture and most recently the Education and Transportation committees.
At the close of the 2013 session, Heller was elected by her colleagues to the Legislative Management Committee. Her interim duties include chairing the Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Affairs and being a member of the Administrative Rules Committee.
