Spanish students score well
A number of Mandan High students attained national recognition for excellent performance on the 2014 National Spanish Exams. Achieving a Bronze was Alyssa Oppegard, level four, daughter of Brady and Michelle Oppegard. Achieving Honorable mentions are Brandon Schaner, level four, son of Clyde and Kimberly Schaner; Hannah Schlosser, level two, daughter of Marvin and Jodi Schlosser; Shae Skager, level two, daughter of Kiel and Cameo Skager; and Alec Stork, level one, son of Bill and Carol Stork.
The Mandan High School Spanish teachers are Theresa Jennings, Michelle Lund and Amy Vetter. The National Spanish Examinations are administered each year in grades six through 12, and are sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese.
