Students graduate from UND
The University of North Dakota held its annual spring commencement at Saturday, May 11, at the Alerus Center, Grand Forks. More than 6,000 friends and family of graduates were in attendance, as President Robert O. Kelley presided over his fifth spring commencement.
North Dakota Lt. Gov. and University of North Dakota alumnus Drew Wrigley was the featured speaker at his alma mater’s spring commencement ceremony at the Alerus Center.
The following local students received their degrees from UND during the commencement:
Mandan – Sam Arneson, bachelor of accountancy; Heather Barry, doctor of physical therapy; Adam Biwer, bachelor of science, magna cum laude; Chad Boehm, doctor of physical therapy; Kristen Fiest, doctor of medicine; Kyle Jefferson, bachelor of art; Bennett Johnson, bachelor of art, cum laude; Breanna Levi, bachelor of science in nursing, summa cum laude; Lisa Meyers, bachelor of art, magna cum laude; Karen Pearson, master of social work; Rachel Peterson, doctor of medicine; Janet Schaaf, master of education; Kristen Urlacher, bachelor of art. Glen Ullin – Jared Gietzen, juris doctorate. New Salem – Janna Beth, bachelor in art, summa cum laude.
