Library to kick-off summer programs
The Kick-off for Morton Mandan Public Library’s summer reading program, “Dig into Reading,” will be held Friday, May 31, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the North Dakota Heritage Center in Bismarck. This event is free and open to the public and is a combined effort with the Bismarck Public Library and the North Dakota State Library.
A variety of hands-on activities for kids will be available throughout the day, as well as information and registration forms for the summer reading program.
Morton Mandan Public Library is also currently accepting registrations for the summer sessions of Big Kid Theatre and Library Cruisers. Big Kid Theatre I: Garden Club, is for kids entering kindergarten and first grade and will meet Mondays from 3 to 4 p.m. Big Kid Theatre II: Dinosaur Club is for kids entering second and third grade and will meet on Tuesdays from 3 to 4 p.m. Library Cruisers: Archeology Club is for kids entering fourth, fifth and sixth grade and will meet on Thursdays from 3 to 4 p.m. Sessions will run from June 3 through July 18. To help cover the cost of supplies, a fee of $10 will be due at registration.
