Celebrate National Library Week at the library

Morton Mandan and libraries nationwide will be celebrating National Library Week Sunday to Saturday, April 14 to 20. The Friends of Morton Mandan Public Library will be joining in the celebration by providing refreshments after the regularly scheduled story times for children ages 3 to 6 on Tuesday at 7 p.m., Wednesday morning at 10:15 a.m. and after Tiny Tot Tales for ages 1 to 3 Wednesday at 11 a.m.

On Wednesday April 17, National Bookmobile Day, the Morton Mandan Bookmobile will be parked at the library from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to allow patrons who don’t usually use the bookmobile to check out its services. The Friends will also be sponsoring refreshments for the children at the school stops that week, including St Joe’s Elementary and Hebron Public.

The Friends of Morton Mandan Public Library and Mandan Pizza Hut will also sponsor pizza and pop in celebration of Teen Literature Day Thursday April 18 at 3:45 p.m. in the Youth room of the library. This is a Teen Trek event. Teen Trek is a volunteer program open to all youth ages 11 to 17. Take advantage of this opportunity to meet with Teen Trek volunteers to share ideas on programs you would like to see at the library. Teen Summer Reading Program information will also be available.
