City employees honored for years of service

Mandan’s city employees were honored for years of service during a special ceremony at Mandan City Hall on Nov. 6.

The following employees were recognized for their years of service:

Forty years of service – Gary Schmidt, water plant operator III.

Thirty-five years of service – Richard Barta, assessor and building inspection official; Lori Flaten, police lieutenant and CID.

Thirty years of service – Dennis Braun, firefighter.

Twenty years of service – Jon Benz, senior appraiser and inspector; Terry Piper, circulation and technical services assistant; Chris Miller, police lieutenant, information technology; Ed Boehm, equipment operator II; Steve Himmelspach, wastewater plant superintendent.

Twenty years of service – Greg Welch, finance director; Bruce Beehler, fire captain; Ray Eckroth, firefighter and safety officer.

Fifteen years of service – Steve Kilen, fire captain; Daniel Poppe, police field training officer; Gerald Getz, equipment operator II.

Ten years of service – Calvin Bullinger animal control officer.

Five years of service – Nancy Moser, administrative assistant; Deb Zodrow, administrative technician; Eddy Olson, senior building and grounds worker; Clayton Schaff, firefighter and EMT; Linda Austin, children’s program coordinator; Patrick Haug, police sergeant; Peter Czapiewski, police detective; Robert McClure, equipment operator I.
