The Mandan Public Schools Foundation for Education has made its first donation to Mary Stark Elementary School.

One of the focus areas for the foundation is to help meet the fundamental needs of Mandan students through food programs, school supplies and project expenses. The foundation donated $576 towards the milk program at Mary Stark. The money will help purchase milk tickets for students and families that want milk, but cannot afford to purchase the tickets on their own. The milk program is separate from the school lunch program which can, upon qualification, be subsidized by the federal government.

The Mandan Public Schools Foundation for Education is a non-profit organization, governed by an independent board of directors. The organization is funded with tax deductible annual and endowment gifts from alumni, businesses, services clubs, families, current and former district employees, and educational supporters.

For forms and more information about the Foundation, visit the website mandanschoolsfoundation.org, or call Leland Fleischer at 220-8939.

Mary Stark students proudly display the benefits of the Foundation for Education's donation to the school.
