Glen Ullin airport receives federal grant
Airports across North Dakota have been awarded grants totaling more than $3.4 million for airport construction and maintenance projects.
Among those named for projects is the Glen Ullin Municipal Airport, which will receive $300,000 to rehabilitate its runway and construct a fuel facility.
“North Dakota’s airports are seeing tremendous growth. These grants will begin to ensure that airports across our state are able to expand to meet growing needs and update existing runways and other infrastructure to safely meet the needs of our people,” Senators John Hoeven and Heidi Heitkamp and Congressman Kevin Cramer said in a joint statement.
The grants were awarded by the U.S Department of Transportation with funds appropriated by Congress.
