Kelly Knoll named rodeo athlete of the year

Kelly Knoll, Mandan, was recently named by Professional’s Choice as the 2014 National Rodeo Student Athlete of the Year, during the National Junior High Finals Rodeo in Des Moines, Iowa. Kelly’s horse, “Snickers,” was also selected as the 2014 National Equine Athlete of the Year, earning Kelly college scholarships worth $1750.

Kelly is the current North Dakota Junior High Rodeo pole-bending champion, and is also the reigning Miss North Dakota Jr. High Rodeo Queen.

Kelly is the 13-year-old daughter of Pat and Cindy Knoll, and is an eighth-grader at Mandan Middle School.
