Knife wielding man arrested

On Feb. 9, just before 1 p.m., Mandan Police Department officers were called to the 100 block of East Main Street for a report of a man brandishing a knife. A witness said the man had been screaming, swinging a knife around and striking vehicles and mailboxes as we walked westbound along Main Street.

An officer saw the man in the 100 block of West Main Street, who was later identified as Nathan Siebrasse, When the officer got out of his patrol vehicle, Siebrasse began walking towards him. At that time, he was holding the knife in his hands. Siebrasse refused to stop and then turned and ran from the officer.

Siebrasse ran into a local pawn shop, where he was apprehended. He was arrested for terrorizing, disorderly conduct, fleeing on foot and resisting arrest. As of this Wednesday, Siebrasse was being held at the Morton County Correctional Center.
