Mandan FFA finishes strong at state competition
This weekend, the Mandan FFA Chapter wrapped up its winter judging season with a trip to Minot for the State Competition on March 22 and 23.
The teams finished strong, and went home with awards that reflected their performances. In the Livestock Judging competition, the team placed in the top three and went home with a gold award. The individual team members also had impressive finishes including Macey Isaacs, Tessa Keller and Stetson Ellingson all winning gold awards, and Renae Tokach and Patrick Johnson placing with silvers. Stetson also clinched a seventh place finish.
In the Agronomy contest, the team placed with a high silver award. The team’s individuals also did well, including Vanessa Gross, Jessica Fleck and Hunter Kleinjan winning bronzes, Cullen Gress receiving a silver, and Tanner Gress finishing with a gold.
In the Ag sales competition, Sydni Schmidt and Audree Gifford placed with silver awards and Stacia Hopfauf and Cole Garman placed bronze, giving the team a bronze overall finish.
