Mandan Spanish students score well in national exam
Several Spanish language students from Mandan High School attained national recognition for excellent performance on the 2013 National Spanish Examinations sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese.
Shae Skager received a silver medal for placing in the 85 percentile for level one. She was awarded a cash prize of $65. She is the daughter of Kiel and Cameo Skager. Freshman Kayla Pich and junior Hannah Schlosser both received honorable mention on the level one exam. Pich is the daughter of Steven and Gina Pich.
Receiving honorable mention for the level two exam were sophomores Larissa Eckholm and Breanna Olson. Eckholm is the daughter of Curtis and Lisa Eckholm and Olson is the daughter of Chad and Janel Olson.
Mandan Spanish teachers are Theresa Jennings, Michelle Lund and Amy Vetter.
