MHS performing fall show this weekend
The Mandan High School Drama Department will perform its fall production this weekend in the MHS auditorium.
The production titled “The Halloween Spooktacular” is both serious and comedic. The showing includes the short play, “All Hallow’s Eve,” by Burton Baumgarner, which is a compilation of mysterious short stories of a Halloween theme adapted by the author. The scenes from the play take place in the same old house, 20 years apart from each other.
“The Halloween Spooktacular” is made up of individual Halloween-themed scenes of slap-stick comedy, which were written by the director and students. The show runs Saturday, Oct. 30, Monday, Nov. 1, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 31, at 2 p.m. The audience is invited to wear costumes to the Halloween matinee.
Tickets are $4 for seniors and students and $6 for adults and may be purchased at the door. The production may not be appropriate for young children.
