Quintus named new MHS assistant principal

Steven Quintus has been accepted as the assistant principal at the Mandan High School. The Mandan School Board approved his contract on July 15.

The position was left vacant after former MHS Assistant Principal Perry Just decided to take on the job of principal and curriculum director of the Brave Center.

As the MHS assistant principal, Quintus will be paid an annual salary of $88,756.

Quintus received a master’s degree in education at Northern State University. He previously worked for two years as a math teacher in Oneida, S.D., 18 years as a principal in Killdeer and most recently served for one year as a principal at Bridgewater, S.D.

“We interviewed four highly qualified candidates, and Mr. Quintus definitely stood out from them as a high quality candidate,” said Assistant Superintendent Jeffery Lind.
