Two charged with Last Call Bar robbery

On Feb. 11, two complaints were signed by the Mandan Police Department charging Shane Wentz with robbery and Brandon Peeters with conspiracy to commit robbery in connection with a robbery that took place in January at the Last Call Bar on Main Street.

On Jan. 21, the Mandan Police began investigating a robbery that occurred at the bar. A male wearing a hooded sweatshirt and black mask entered Last Call and went to the gaming area of the bar. He removed a handgun from a backpack he was carrying and demanded money from the gaming employee. An undisclosed amount of money was placed in the backpack before the subject fled from the scene.

Mandan Police Department Sergeant Jay Gruebele said a witness saw a gold colored four-door Sedan leaving the area just as the robbery took place. Further investigation determined it was Wentz who entered the bar and demanded the money, and that he was the one who left the area after the robbery in the Sedan that was driven by Peeters.
