The Bismarck Mandan Metropolitan Organization is preparing its 25-year Long Range Transportation Plan. MPO planner Ben Ehreth said a public hearing will be scheduled sometime in 2014, but the organization also will offer a number of online options to allow residents to comment about needs in public transportation, road improvements, biking and pedestrians in the Lincoln, Bismarck and Mandan areas and their counties through 2040.

Reports about the plan can be found at wwww.envisionbisman2040.com. At the site, residents will find directions about how to comment online and interactive maps, said Ehreth.

Residents may comment through kiosks set up at the Bismarck Public Library, Mandan library and the state Capitol. “We will be holding an online public meeting and run a household survey that we will mail to 400 households,” Ehreth said.

He said users also can sign up for the transportation plan updates through Facebook and Twitter.

Residents also may call Ehreth with comments and questions at 355-1840.
