New Clinic opening Wednesday
St. Alexius’ new 22,000-square-foot health care clinic in Mandan is scheduled to open Wednesday, Jan. 15, as its two current clinics in Mandan close.
The $8 million Mandan Clinic-North is at 2500 Sunset Drive N.W., at the intersection of Sunset Drive and Old Red Trail.
The Mandan east clinic will close Friday. Jan. 10, and the Center for Family Medicine on Tuesday, Jan. 14. All the physicians at these two clinics will move to the new facility except for one, who is retiring.
Four family medicine physicians and one internal medicine physician will see patients at the new clinic Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The clinic features full imaging (diagnostic radiology, MRIs, CTs, ultrasound, mammography and Dexa Scan) and laboratory services.
Gary P. Miller, president and CEO of St. Alexius Medical Center, said increased demands for services compelled St. Alexius to build a new clinic in Mandan. “We now have capacity to grow our services,” he said.
For the convenience of patients, the plan includes a retail pharmacy with a drive-thru set to open in March. “Our goal is to be a one-stop shop for people seeking health care,” Miller said..
The building’s second floor has space reserved for future growth.
The new facility had its groundbreaking in August 2012 and construction started shortly thereafter.
Patients are already able to make appointments for the new facility by calling 701-667-4600.
