Police looking for assaulters
At roughly 2:30 a.m. Sunday, March 17, police were called to a local hospital to speak with a woman regarding an assault.
The Mandan woman told officers that around midnight she left her home on foot to walk to a convenience store. As she was walking in the area of Third Street S.E. and Riverwood Ave S.E, she heard a mal voice yell something. When she turned around to look towards the voice, she was hit in the face and fell to the ground. While on the ground a male choked her until she passed out. When she awoke no one was around.
The woman said she saw two males. Both appeared to be Caucasian and in their mid-20s to early 30s. One was wearing a black hoodie. Both males had a strong odor of alcohol. The woman said she did not recognize either of them.
The woman received bruises on her face, shoulder, shin and neck. She was treated and released from the hospital.
