Public works projects topic of April 8 ‘More About Mandan Monday’

The Mandan Tomorrow – Leadership, Pride and Image Committee is hosting the third of four “More About Mandan Monday” community educational sessions on Monday, April 8. The focus will be on City of Mandan public works responsibilities and projects including street maintenance, snow removal, water distribution, waste water collection and recycling.

City of Mandan Public Works Department Director Jeff Wright will present information about street conditions including recent and future improvement projects. Other issues to be addressed include pros and cons of snow gates, efforts to extend the useful life of the landfill, and disease management in community trees. Dennis Rohr will provide insights about priorities from his perspective as the city commissioner assigned to the public works portfolio.

The remaining session in the spring series about local government services will be held April 15. Mandan Police Chief Dennis Bullinger will present information about various aspects of public safety and law enforcement including recent crime statistics.
