Sled hockey season begins Sept. 8
Dreams in Motion, a Mandan organization that provides athletic opportunities to people with mobility challenges and visual impairment, will host a sled hockey season on three Sundays in September.
The sled hockey program is open to any youth or young adult between the ages of 2 and 25 with mobility challenges or visual impairment and to their friends and families.
The season will consist of games on Sept. 8, 15 and 22 at the VFW Sports Center in Bismarck.
Participants in the competitive league, for players who need little or no assistance, should arrive at 3 p.m. to be fitted with a sled, with ice time between 3:15 and 4:15. Participants in the recreational league — those who play with assistance — should arrive at 3:15 p.m. to be fitted, with ice time from 3:30 to 4:15.
