Students make academic all-conference

 

 

The hollowing Mandan High School student athletes have earned the distinction of WDA Academic All-Conference for the winter sports season:

Boys basketball – Erron Collins, Dylan Horner, Adam Lech, Daniel Peterson, Nathan Schmidt, Preston Schmidt, Austin Tweet. Boys hockey – Tre Kautzman, Jacob Lawler, Trever Leingang, David Payne, Brady Skyland, Brady Zittleman. Boys swimming and diving – Eric Mayer, Luke Peterson, Nathan Berger, Brandon Schaner, Benjamin Wanner, Justin Schafer, Grant Little. Girls basketball – Mariah Fredericks, Emily Bendish, Courtney Goetz, Alexis Goldade, Rachelle Harr, Chelsea Peterson, JaeLyn Russell. Girls hockey – Madison Huber, Rebecca Helbling, Paige Lillis, Ashlyn Quintus, Mariah Marsh. Gymnastics – Kati Kruckenberg, Hannah Tibke. Wrestling – Samuel Ravnaas, Dale Spilman, Ryan Zachmeier. Cheerleading – Kaelee Rhoden, Hannah Jacobson.

In addition to the athletes, the girls basketball, gymnastics and girls basketball cheerleading teams have earned the distinction of earning the NDHSAA Team Scholar Award. This award is given to varsity teams that have a composite grade point average of 3.2 or better for the current nine-week grading period.

To be named to the WDA Academic All Conference, students must be a member of an athletic team and receive a minimum 3.6 GPA during the nine-week period they are involved in the sport.
