Task force makes several arrests
The Southwest Bismarck Regional DUI Task Force participated in the Regional DUI Task Force program in North Dakota. They made 13 driving under the influence arrests, four other alcohol-related citations, four drug arrests, three seat belt citations, 21 speed citations and 44 other significant arrests and traffic citations and made a total of 145 enforcement contacts during the recent unified saturation patrol effort.
In the Southwest Bismarck Region, 10 law enforcement agencies participated in the third quarter of this program, which was conducted from June 21 to 30.
Nearly eighty percent of all law enforcement agencies currently participate in the DUI Task Force across North Dakota. This program is intended to save lives by reducing alcohol-related fatalities and car crashes.
This task force began on Oct. 1, 2010, in order to take significant steps towards reducing alcohol-related crashes and fatalities across the state.
The task force includes the following agencies NDHP, Morton, Burleigh, Mercer, Sheridan and Grant Sheriff’s Departments, and Mandan, Bismarck, Beulah and Lincoln Police Departments.
